Bill and Fleur’s Wedding

Bill and Fleur are (Of course I dont have to explain this to y’all Muggles out there, do i? ;) ) characters in Harry Potter novel. Bill Weasley is the eldest brother of Ron Weasley, Harry’s bestfriend; Fleur Delacour is a French witch which later becomes Bill’s wife.

The narration about their wedding is one of my favourite part because i basically love The Weasleys (Well, who doesnt?). And at the wedding, all The Weasleys gathered in a festive mood.

Well, anyway..

Im not a Weasley, but I happened to feel the exact same mood not so long ago, when my cousin got married.

The big family gathered – from Jakarta, Malang, and Cilegon - to celebrate this joyful occasion. I tell you, we’re bigger than The Weasleys; we have 13 nuclear families which adds up up to no less than 60 people, from the grey-haireds to the newborns.

My cousin is now in his 25 years of age.

Im now going to be hitting my 22.

Which means i might as well be in his current position in 3 years from now.

So it got me thinking..

Lovey dovey, when will i be married?

With whom, and where will i do it?

What dress will i wear, is it white or a bit faded?

Will there be roses, or lilies, or tulips?

Lovey dovey, i’ll just smile and wait for it.

(OMG, there,  I just made up a nursery rhyme about a wedding. Freak. )

Back in Bandung, after a month of Karangsambung.

Halo, halo, Bandung, kota kenang-kenangan..

Sudah lama beta tidak berjumpa dengan kau..

So, I have just got back from a 30-days field camp/lecture in Karangsambung, Central Java. That is the place where every year, since 46 years ago, every Geological Engineering student from my college goes to – to learn to understand our Earth better.

I had anticipated for a month full of sweet and joyful moments with good friends – good people, hard and tiring days and nights due to course work, boredom, homesickness, and also excited-beyond-belief feelings.

There is too much goodness in it to share, that I find it too hard to elaborate it quite fairly enough.. Or just let me have some good rest first. :D

Thank you Karangsambung, for the memorable moments.. For I know that good friends-goodbyes are inevitable, but you have given me enough memories that could be the only one I cling on to in hard times that are surely going to come in the near future, when each and every one has chosen their own way..

Good memories are going to be just enough. :)
