Early May Days Updates

May day! May day! I could not think of anything else worth sharing! So I’m just going to share a list of updates about me (boo), up until this early May days! ^^’

(Hehe, OK, i have to admit that those are actually no-big-deal achievements as there were only a few competitors on the game ^^’. The home tournament was made just for fun, though :) )

Holiday’s over and college has already starting. Somehow i was at loss for excitement of this beginning of new semester. There are so many new things i have experienced during this holiday: Pangandaran backpacking, Central Java backpacking, riding an economy-class public train, Dieng trekking, tasting Tengkleng Kwali, went to Bali w/my lil sis, having lunch at Jimbaran and Bebek Bengil, creating a photoblog, being an LO for my senior’s graduation day, assigning my lil sis to Kumon, learning to be a stage manager at a campus orientation program, Jakarta date w/ Fendi, Dufan w/ college friends.. Its all been fun. But then again, i was at loss for excitement to face this new semester.. And then i heard that terrible news: a friend of mine is lost, drifted at Pangandaran sea.

His name is Yogie. A friend of mine at college. My campus life will never ever be the same, Yog. Since theres no more you now. I hate goodbyes. I hate it more when its too soon. But, i know we all gotta be strong, right, Yog? We shall always smile. Just like my memories of you have taught me :) Goodbye, Yogie..

What If – Coldplay

No More 3×5; A Tribute to Hanna and Selly ♥

I think that this one holiday season of mine is going to be the most EXCITING holiday that i have ever had, ever!

I went backpacking to Pangandaran, and then another backpacking to Solo-Dieng-Jogja, and im planning to go hiking to Mount Gede. Not to mention a fine travel to Bali with fams and a probable visit to Dufan with college friends!

But hey hey, i was never a traveler kind of girl myself. I loved being at home, going nowhere, geeking in front of books, browsing round the web, etc. I still love em, of course, but  i am now opening up to many things i thought id never do.

But then what did change me?

First of all I gotta mention 2 names: Hanna and Selly. They are both my seniors at college. They are class of 2005. We were on the bus back from a one day excursion when they were  telling me all of their RECKLESS JOURNEYS during their 1st and 2nd year at college  OK, so they, along with their other friends, enjoyed spending their weekends on mountains and hills instead of malls and restos. Hanna even once skipped classes cos she had to go to Karimun Jawa Island! What shocking most is their impulsivity on travelling. No plans, no booked tickets, no fine packings, just get yourself gone when you feel like going!! They once went to 5 Java cities in a week. They once lost in a near Bandung mountain and had no idea how to go back. They once build a camp at night not knowing that they were located near a ravine! And all the while i was like “damn, where have i been?” I want it, i want it all, i want a journey, i want to see the world, i want to visit places i only saw on the maps, i want to hit the road and feel excited to see where next it brings me to, i want to feel the fresh air in the middle of nowhere!!

Phew.

Life works in a mysterious way, it does. Had i not met Hanna and Selly and heard all of their stories i would probably just stay in my room, in front of my laptops all day during this holiday ^^’

People, open up to new things. Get out of your comfort zone. Get out of your routinity. You only live once, live it to the fullest ;)
